28th July Leaving the Pyrenees

The last night was fantastic. A picnic by the River watching the annual rafting races. The whole community was out - many in fancy dress.  They were competing on the kayak course on rafts. It was hilarious and quite competitive.  There was a band and an enormous paella on the go.  Anna was there with her family.  She's not competing this year, she announced today that she is expecting a baby boy!

We checked out the next day.  Eva has been brilliant she froze ice packs for us and she let me buy a bottle of wine for the mechanic who helped us so much.  Lots of photos and we were on our way..no before the first english family we had met donated a ball to alex!

A nice easy and relaxed trip to Taragona, just south of Barcelona.  I took it very slow down the moutains - stopping a lot to let agitated spanish shoot past!

We eventually found the campsite in Salou - it is unbelievable ..I booked because it had great pools.  It's a very posh butlins... five pools, team sports, kids shows and you hire a fridge !!!

Didn't even try putting up the tent - just went swimming!
